    FAQs for Existing Policyholders

    If you already have a CarePlus dental plan, view answers to frequently asked questions below. If you have questions that aren’t answered below, fill out a contact us form or call us at 800-318-7007. If you’re not a CarePlus member but would like to enroll, please submit our Enrollment form.

    How do I renew my policy?
    You can renew your policy online nearing the end of your current policy period. You will receive a letter in the mail approximately 60 days before your plan ends with a link and unique code to renew your policy online. If preferred, you can also renew your policy through the mail, over the phone, or in person at a Dental Associates’ clinic. (See Dental Associates clinic locations here).

    What if I lost my insurance card?
    No problem! You don’t need a CarePlus insurance card to receive your benefits at a Dental Associates’ clinic, as they already have your enrollment information on file. However, if you want a replacement card, please contact us at 800-318-7007 or complete a replacement ID card form.

    Who do I contact for help with my account?
    We have a few help lines to assist you with your account:

    How do I access the Dental Associates patient portal?
    Your access to the Dental Associates patient portal is established during your appointment at Dental Associates. You can access the portal by using your pre-established login information at this link: Dental Associates Portal

    Can I request a refund after purchasing a CarePlus plan?
    CarePlus will refund your premium if you cancel within the first 10 days of activation and have not used any dental benefits. If benefits have been paid out for services within your 10-day right to cancel, no refund is available.

    Since CarePlus plans are purchased with a one-time annual premium, refunds are not available after the 10-day right to cancel period.

    Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Savings Account (FSA) to pay for my premium?
    No, you cannot use your HSA or FSA to pay for your premium. You may only use your HSA or FSA to pay for dental services provided by our in-network clinics and dentists. HSA and FSA accounts cannot be used to cover insurance premiums. If you do use your HSA or FSA to pay a premium, you will not be reimbursed.

    Can I automatically renew my CarePlus plan?
    Unfortunately, you cannot automatically renew your CarePlus plan. You will receive a letter in the mail approximately 60 days before your plan ends with a link and code to renew your policy online. You can also renew your policy by mail, over the phone, or in person at a Dental Associates’ clinic.

    Can I purchase for more than 1 year at a time?
    No, you cannot purchase a CarePlus plan for more than 1 year at a time. Because of changes to policies including, but not limited to, premium increases, you are only able to purchase 1 year of CarePlus coverage at a time.
