CarePlus Dental Plans Celebrates 40 Years of Partnership with the City of Milwaukee

A milestone recognizing four decades of helping City employees and their families access quality dental care.

CarePlus Dental Plans is proud to celebrate 40 years of partnership with the City of Milwaukee, a relationship that has helped generations of City employees and their families access quality, affordable dental care.

The milestone was recently recognized during a special ceremony at Milwaukee City Hall, where Mayor Cavalier Johnson honored the longstanding partnership between the City of Milwaukee, CarePlus Dental Plans, and Dental Associates.

Since the partnership began in 1986, CarePlus has worked alongside Dental Associates to provide comprehensive dental benefits and convenient access to care. Today, nearly 6,000 City of Milwaukee employees and family members receive dental care through Dental Associates.

Four Decades of Supporting Milwaukee Families

For 40 years, CarePlus has helped make dental care more accessible for City of Milwaukee employees and their families.

Through its partnership with Dental Associates, CarePlus members have access to a wide range of dental services, from routine cleanings and preventive care to specialty services such as orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.

Having general dentists and specialists within the same dental organization helps simplify the dental care experience for individuals and families, making it easier to maintain healthy smiles at every stage of life.

A Partnership Built on Trust

The relationship with the City of Milwaukee reflects CarePlus' longstanding commitment to helping employers provide meaningful dental benefits.

What began as a partnership in 1986 has continued to grow alongside the needs of Milwaukee's workforce and their families.

Today, CarePlus Dental Plans serves more than 45,000 members across more than 260 employer groups throughout Wisconsin, helping businesses and organizations provide access to quality dental care.

The City of Milwaukee partnership remains an important part of that history and a reflection of the lasting relationships CarePlus has built with employers and their employees.

Celebrating a Special Recognition

During the October 21 ceremony, Mayor Cavalier Johnson recognized the contributions of CarePlus Dental Plans and Dental Associates to the health and well-being of Milwaukee families.

The Mayor even went on to officially proclaim October 21, 2026, as "Dental Associates Day" in Milwaukee!

For CarePlus, the recognition is a meaningful reminder of the value of long-term partnerships and the positive impact that accessible dental care can have on a community.
